Made the shell 5mm wide to prevent the thin shell from warping, should also improve the sound quality by dampening influence from the back. There was a variable in the original CAD file for this, but the file needed some additional tuning.
Original Description:
This is the final iteration of my parabolic mic design. I had conceptualized this as a more pandemic-friendly "meeting mic" to us instead of handing around a wireless microphone. The idea didn't work as well as I was hoping (too much background noise), but I went through 3 printed iterations and feel like the design is unique enough that you might appreciate building off of it.
The main dish is designed fill the extents of my Prusa Mk3 build volume and the STLs should already be oriented correctly for that build volume.
The handle and mic holder are one part and a lavaliere microphone mounted on the 'boom' should put the mic pick-up right at the focal point
