This is a modification of the backplate from Capra-Audio's nice ‘Syphy’ cooling setup for the Creality Sprite print head. I originally started on it because I was trying to get a BTT Smart Filament Sensor to work on my Ender 3 S1 and needed to be able to connect a tube to the top of the print head to keep the length constant. The original version wasn't strong enough. In the second version I added an ‘arm’ to the right side of the plate because the backplate wasn't connected on that side and would rattle when the print head was moving fast, but the ‘arm’ ended up not being sized right and cracked. This one (V3) looks like it should work better.
It is a very, very unrefined design- I did all of the mods in OpenSCAD using primitives to add/subtract from the original backplate and a fitting boss I found. I may go back and try and smooth things out a bit in Fusion360 and strengthen the ‘arm' even more, but for now this should be usable for anyone who wants the backplate to be a bit more securely attached and/or needs to attach a tube to the top of the print head.
Should be printed with something fairly strong and heat-resistant. I used PETG since I don't usually print much hotter than it.
