I built a housing for the Raspberry Pi Camera V3 to work with the camera mount that the folks at [Printer Box] developed.
This is designed shroud the camera from the light not unlike a lens hood, but also provides some basic bump protection. By keeping it open like this I was hoping to mitigate any heat issues that might develop with the camera module. So there's plenty of ventilation on the back as well.
I made sure to leave plenty of room to access, remove, and replace the ribbon cable as well.
By using the existing mounting system you should be able to pick and choose which arms you want to use to position the camera to your liking. Of course, because this has a pretty basic mounting mechanism you can use this anywhere else you'd like as well.
