I recently acquired an Apple iPod HiFi speaker off of Craigslist, but unfortunately it didn't come with the correct dock insert I needed for my 6th and 7th generation iPod Classics. It did come with a #10 insert, which is the same shape but thicker. I made this adapter to take the bending stress off of the 30-pin connector, which has been known to fail on this speaker, when using a thin iPod Classic with the #10 insert. Use a small bit of double-sided tape to hold the adapter in the right position, flush with the top surface of the insert.
If anyone has a #9 insert they would like to trade for pretty much ANY other size insert (I have most of them, just not the one I need), send me a message!
