UPDATE 24.11.2023

Thanks to the feedback from “chochi3D” i was able to optimize the overall stability of this spoolholder.

The following changes helped improving the stability:

  • using 2 bearings for the one-sided mounting option (can also be used for two sided option of course)
  • reuploaded all parts with higher stl resolution, which should lead to better optics and due to better surfaces also a better bearing seat
  • uploaded all important bearing parts now with different fitting options in order to fit your individual environment

Overview:

Modular spoolholder with integrated bearings, that provides the following:

  • reduce friction for filament pull
  • different spool width and inner diameter possible
  • different mounting possibilities (added "raw" adapter as step for custom solutions)
  • fast and easy spool change

Technical Data:

  • inner clamping diameter: 53mm - 84mm
  • spool - width: 70mm max. with holder x 90mm
  • spool - width: 90mm max. with holder x 110mm

Assembly Option 1: 

One-sided mounting [2x bearing highly recommended for this option]

**Note, that there are different bearing fitting types available for the “bearing-parts”

**Note, that you should only go for normal 1Kg spools when using the one-sided option

**Please make sure to use optimal assembly order for the one-sided option [see pictures]

  • 1x “bearing-part2_[bearing(x2)]”
  • 1x “counter-part1”
  • 1x “counter-part2”
  • 1x “holder_90mm”
  • 2x “clamp”
  • “endcap" (either an existing one, ore use the raw step file for own solution)

  • 2x bearing 608-2RS
  • 2x M3x20 cylinderhead screw
  • 1x M3x25 cylinderhead screw
  • 3x M3 Nut

  • 2x M3x20 cylinderhead screw
  • 6x M3 Nut
