Our tub faucet, while quite expensive, was designed terribly. I decided to make an adapter to fix it and while I was at it made a number of modular spouts that provide different options for how the water comes out.

The model comes with a faucet base adapter that is attached to the tub faucet (I used silicone tape which worked very well and then covered the faucet in a safety cover to hide the connection which we had for the kids anyway – see video). To get better results there is a small space between the faucet adapter and the laminar flow holes which you can cut a piece of scotch brite scour pad into, which will reduce the turbulence of the water coming into the laminar flow holes and create a better result.

I made several additional spouts that you can see in the video. If your water gets very hot I would print in PETG, you can also print in color changing filement (see video) which provides a really cool effect but if your water is too hot it can deform. Getting the tolerances right is important and you may need to adjust slicer settings or do a bit of sanding to make sure they fit tight but not so tight you cannot get them on and off.  For instance, the elephant spout module in the video I printed with too loose of tolerances so it leaks a bit, but wasn't bad enough to care about re-printing it.

NOTE: If your faucet is installed improperly/not sealed well this adapter can create back pressure and shoot water into the wall if too much pressure is created

If this model was useful to you and you'd like to send me a tip on my linktree page so I can create more cool stuff it would be much appreciated!
