I had a few empty Sunlu spools laying around and didn't want them go to waste. By using this model you can make your own reusable eSpool with a few materials.
Just take out your hacksaw and chop up your empty Sunlu spool. Make sure it's a clean cut and the inner surface is even.
There is already a hole near the center, which you can align with one of the screw holes of the outer part. (the outer part screwholes might need some cleanup after print, use an allen key to pop any excess plastic by pushing through the non recessed side) You can drill out the other 2 M3 screw holes in the Sunlu spool part.
If your threaded inserts are already inserted in the inner part holes, your spool is ready to assembly.
I included some images for help. The default hole on the Sunlu spool is higlihted by a big red circle and a red arrow.
You need to print (you can use PLA, 0.2 layer height is fine.):
2x outer
1x inner
Tools needed:
6x M3 threaded inserts (3-4mm length is OK) + soldering iron to insert them in the inner part holes
6x M3x8 screws
