Quest 2 Counterweights

The Quest 2's habit of sliding down my face whilst sim racing because it's unbalanced was driving me nuts, so I made these.

Counterweights for KIWI design Comfort Head Strap for the Quest 2. Designed to snap onto the back on either side of the adjustment knob.

I figured the required weight by taping a plastic bag to the back of the head strap and adding weight until it balanced. The compartments are sized so the Quest 2 is balanced when the compartments are filled with polymer coated .365 diameter, 93 grain RN Makarov bullets (it's the lead I had handy), with some stiff packing foam cut to fit and pressed under the lid so they don't rattle.

Cover holes sized for M3x8 countersunk machine screws.

Printed in PLA using Cura, 15% infill, Gyroid, 3 walls, tree supports, raft.

They're grey and red because I couldn't decide whether or not I liked it in contrasting colors. My wife says the all grey is better, while I like the grey/red one better. :)
