Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award

A customizable Arrow of Light award for Cub Scouts.

Print Settings


Everything was printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 15% infill (gyroid) at 250mm/s on an AnkerMake M5. No supports or brims are needed.  

Adhesion Issues?
Try printing with a 8-10mm brim

Quality Issues?
Try printing at a slower speed (start decreasing the speed by 10-15mm/s)

Here are all the parts for the award. I've included the filament color and type next to each part, along with what layer I switched filament colors at. 

  • Stand.stl - Gray - PLA
  • Pack Sign.stl - Blue / Gold - PETG (Switched filament colors at layer 12)
  • Number Holder.stl - Black - PETG
  • Light.stl - Gold - PETG
  • Arrow.stl - Transparent Blue - PETG
  • Arrow Stand.stl - Black - PETG
  • Numbers (Backgrounds) - Red - PETG
  • Numbers (Inside) - White - PLA
  • Name Plate - Black / Gold - PETG (Switched filament colors at layer 6)

Instructions

 

Making the Name Plate:

Use the “Name Plate Template.f3d” to create the Name Plate. 

  • Once opened, right click on the “Text” sketch and select “Edit Sketch”. 
  • Next, right click on “Gene Belcher” and select “Edit Text”. 
  • Once you are finished editing the text, you’ll need to select the “Extrude” tool and use the parameter “NameExtrude”, which is 1.10mm.

Print each of the parts listed in the parts list above. Once everything has been printed, you can start putting together the award. I recommend using Super Glue on everything to hold it together.
