A very simple yet fascinating fidget desktop toy. A perfect sphere trapped inside a hollow dodecahedron, sometimes called a ball in cage.
The sphere is just about bigger than the dodecahedron windows giving the illusion that the sphere could make it out but in fact can't. Thanks to 3D printing no assembly is required as the sphere is directly printed inside.
This makes for a fun and entertaining desktop toy.
Print:
Provided are both the print and 3MF files, both exported with highest resolutions to prevent any facets on the sphere. Support is recommended for both the dodecahedron and for the sphere. Slice with fine layers if you want a smooth sphere. The 3MF file already contains all of this together with other small improvements.
Dimensions: ~55x55x55 mm
