ok so after extensive testing etc, ive finally got my p1p coding worked out rather well. im sure it could be optimized because its derived from an x1, however.. so far it works great for me.
To set this up, I recommend making a different p1p profile, not your original profile. (just add another p1p..and use it instead) Then, take my start, end and filament change codes and simply copy and paste them. Then the coding part is done!
next your gonna want to mount the chameleon on the side or wherever you decide. I currently use it on my p1 that doesn't have an enclosure so I made this mount that holds everything and keeps the path of travel relatively short and simple. DONT over tighten the bolts or it'll cause binding and the chameleon won't be able to operate smoothly. (remix as desired)
Next, make your switch holder bracket. This will mount inside the p1p frame. you'll need 2 m4 bolts about 6mm long. it will mount via the 2 holes in the frame up near the area where the hotend cable comes out through. (remix as desired)
once those are both installed and your switch is in place, fire up your web browser and head over to 3dchameleon.com to get the low down on how it all operates. I need to do a video and explain it all. just haven't had time. for the p1p that uses the rear exiting Bowden tube mounting, you'll want mode 3. If yours isn't set for mode 3 when it arrives, you can reach out to bill at 3dchameleon and he'll send you directions etc.
if you use my brackets or whatnot, please post pics etc. thanks!
The author remixed this model.
