With the factory parts, the Z rods of the Anet A8 Plus are wobbling terribly. There are two parts per side in the game. On the bottom is the motor mount which includes the 8mm diameter hole for the rod. And the upper part with two holes. One for the lead screw, and one for the rod. The latter was made so inaccurate, I replaced it as soon as I started using the printer. I used the upper parts from this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4278941/
I didn't found it here on printables.com. This is a well designed component, and it helped a lot.
I just noticed there is still a bit wobbling because of the bottom part. I only want disassemble the printer as much as I have to. Therefore I designed a lightweight and easy to install part.
You will need
Thanks to the upper part I applied earlier It is very easy to release the Z rod. If you are still using the factory one, I suggest replace it soon.
Release the rod with loosing the clamping screw on the upper part, then push it up a bit. (Or remove the upper part if you're using the factory kind.) Then take off the outer screws from the motor mount. Place the fixing part on, and fasten it with longer (M3x14) screws. Push down the rod back its place, tighten the clamping screw, and you're ready. In the best case you even don't have to do a leveling.
There is no right and left part. Just print two pieces!
