MMS case made as a gift for an old-school Amiga developer.  It's not meant to look like a specific Amiga model, but rather as if an AI was asked “Make an Amiga MMS console”.

Printing

Designed to be printed vertical like the original part.  The vents are modeled to not require additional supports.

The badge is optional.  It sticks up more than I would like.  It seems very thin on its own, but once attached I realized the height scaled 50% would be plenty thick enough.  Don't make the mistake I did and permanently glue it before really looking at it in its final location.

The text can be added with a Text tool in the slicer (like Prusa Slicer or Bambu Studio).  If you're going to print the letters separately, it helps to emboss a hole for them in the badge to make placement easier.  Optionally, lettering could be embossed directly into the case itself as shown in one of the pictures.  The badge does make it easier for painting and adding things like a custom logo.

Filaments and Painting

The case was printed in eSun “Bone” PLA+.  To (attempt to) get rid of the layer lines, most of the case was sanded and then spray painted in Krylon Dover White and Almond.   A clear matte finish was then applied which helped hide imperfections in the paint job.   If I was to do it over, the white parts of the case would have been printed in Cool White PLA, and only the darker parts would have been printed in Bone so that any scratches in the paint would simply reveal the same color underneath.  The Almond paint was close enough in color to the Bone PLA such that at a distance it was hard to tell where the paint ended.  Because of that the back plane and the cutouts were left unpainted which helped with the tight tolerances of the inserts.
