Almost everybody is facing part cooling issues on Ender 3 when printing slightly faster. Instead of adding more fans on the printer head where it adds weight and make it sometimes ugly huge to be effective, this puts the blower on the side of the X axis beam and so it isn't putting any more weight on bad places while still adding much more cooling capabilities.

FEATURES:

  • 4020 radial fan - to still making it descent looking while blowing enough air.
  • snap on design - just print the shroud, snap the fan inside and snap it all on the X axis stepper cover - you don't need any screws
  • connect the wires to your liking - on separate switch or preferably on the part cooling fan connector so it is controled with the other fan.
  • Fan duct is oriented to blow at the same height where the nozzle is so it is cooling the printed layer efficiently.
  • two versions - STOCK file should fit stock hotend cover, I have a bit different printhead that leaves me more space, so the fanduct is 4mm longer.

BAD FEATURES:

  • Only one side cooling - I have only little space left on the right side because I'm using KlackEnder so I have to make some sutiable design for the other side too. But one side only solution is still giving huge advantage and improvement is visible on all sides of the print.

ATTENTION! - As this is not placed close to the nozzle with very focused air stream, it blows some air on the nozzle and heatblock as well and you have to count with that - if you run the fans 100% and start heating the nozzle it will take longer and you could get thermal runaway error. Just wait for the nozzle to heat up or run the fans lower. When the nozzle is heated it holds temperature even at 100% fan.. but test it with your setup.
