I got a couple cheap YOFOTHS-brand lightsabers from Amazon. They have a threaded bottom, but I couldn't find a connector online to turn them into a double-bladed lightsaber like what Darth Maul uses. So, I measured and printed my own!
Note: this significantly muffles the lightsaber sound effects. I dunno how you can get around that when connecting both speaker-ends together, but I thought I would share.
I figure this could also be used as the base for your own pommel if you want to remix it; the height should be double what you need for an individual lightsaber.
To assemble, just thread it into each lightsaber hilt!
This replacement connector is compatible with other lightsabers; it looks like a lot of the no-name brands on Amazon come from the same factory and are compatible. The connector is 27mm across, with a 1.5 thread pitch. If the inside of the threaded area of your lightsaber looks to measure right around 1" or 25mm, this is likely to work. Let me know, though!
Here's what I used; your mileage may vary depending on your printer, calibration, experience, materials, etc.
Important! Print horizontally—i.e. with one of the flat sides on the bed—for strength. Otherwise the layers WILL separate catastrophically and one lightsaber will go flying when you're showing off your Darth Maul “skills” to your toddler. Theoretically, of course…
