This is a printable replacement fan cover for a Consew CSM series "servo" motor. It accepts M2 mounting hardware for a CUI Devices AMT-103V encoder for monitoring and controlling motor speed. Also included is the file for an adapter piece to mount a small section of 8mm diameter round rod to the fan shaft of the motor for the encoder to read. I used a small piece of double sided tape between the printed piece and the motor shaft end to secure things. I'm not sure that's the best solution but it seems to work acceptably so far.
The encoder is readily available and inexpensive and comes as a kit with everything you need except the cable. I got mine from Digikey here: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/cui-devices/AMT103-V/102-1308-ND/827016
This is a remix of a file from Thingiverse for use with a different encoder. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3597941
I printed in PLA with stock settings. No supports necessary - print with the encoder mounting surface on the bed and I had no trouble.
