Honeycomb Ikea Skadis pegboard hook for cables, scissors and more, all hex, parametric

This Ikea Skadis pegaboard accessory comes in beautiful honeycomb pattern and can hold many things, like cables, scissors, precision pliers and probably many more.

It is part of my honycomb skadis collection. It has a hex shaped pin to hang your stuff, the background is a half hex that has a hex pattern on it, and even the hooks that go into the pegboard are all hex :) It's just better the hex way ⬡

Parametric

I made this model parameterizable, so you can change it to your liking. Parameters of interest are:

• pin width: the width of the hex pin where you hang stuff
• pin length: the length of the hex pin

There are many more parameters that you can use to modify the design or adopt it to your needs. Change the parameters in Fusion 360 through “Modify” > “Change parameters”.

How to print

To print it without supports the model needs to sit on the top. What is the top you ask? Sure, here a picture:

Make sure you have a well calibrated first layer, because there is not much surface area on the first layer, so it needs to be good if you want it to stick through the whole print. Other than that you can print with your favorite settings. It is helpful to let it have around 3 parameters, so the hooks are stable enough. I printed them in PLA, other materials should work, too.
