Summary
With the MK3 you are supposed to clean the spring steel with alcohol after every print. For me the most economical way was to bulk purchase 90% alcohol which I put in a squirt bottle (even designed/printed the cap in matching Prusa orange), but then I had the challenge of what to use to apply it. I decided on bulk cotton makeup removal pads available on the cheap at Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0773FVMRJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
These measure approximately 5mm x 5.5mm. Now I just needed a way to store them on my printer desk that was more attractive than just sitting them out or leaving them in a giant box.
As a result, I designed two box variations:
1) Horizontal | Made to store in a horizontal position where you pull from the top of the box
2) Vertical | Made to store the pads in an upright position where you pull from the front or back of the box
I started with the vertical, but after using it for several days I didn't like how the pads pulled out. In the end, it caused me to design the horizontal version, and I decided on going with it for my own personal use.
