The Ikea Tokabo lamp is a great match for the Hue smart bulbs (especially the colour bulbs) as they produce nice diffuse light. However, the Hue E14 bulb that fits in the socket for these lamps is too long. This adaptor holds the original mounting a bit further away from the lamp so the bulb can fit.

The model prints with no supports, instead there is a sacrificial bridge layer that is then fairly easy to clear away from the central hole using some pliers/a knife/your fingers. The print settings I used were for normal PLA I had on hand, 200 degrees for the nozzle, 60 degrees for the bed, 10% infill, no supports. I would recommend printing with a brim as the first layer has quite a small contact area with the bed.

The two versions I have uploaded here include an adaptor that requires some glueing and one that does not. The adaptor made from “hue adaptor holes” and 3x pegs requires glueing the pegs into the holes. These will then hold on to the plastic moulded holes inside the Tokabo lamp shade, this forms a strong connection between the adaptor and the lamp shade, beware that it is quite a tight fit so take care when installing not to damage the plastic inside the lamp. This model is still quite a tight fit without the pegs (just the collar section fits quite sugnly into the lamp shade) so the pegs can be left out if you would like, however when the lamp shade is picked up without supporting the base it may come off the adaptor. Note: the pegs are printed separately as they are not strong enough if printed vertically. The pegs should be glued on to the adaptor with the bumps facing inwards towards the lamp.

The “hue adaptor v2” model has built in pegs, but they do not really interact with the mounting holes inside the lamp shade, but they do help locate the lamp shade on the adaptor. This version requires no glueing but again the lamp shade won't be securely attached to the adaptor so it may slip off if you pick it up without supporting the base.

Both models hold the bulb socket using the original socket's mounting system. There are small flexible tabs on the socket that clip in to recessed areas of the adaptor (shown in photos). When the socket has been installed, the wire can then be passed through the cable guide hole and then the bulb can be installed.
