Description

PDF

I designed this cover/guard to help protect the exposed switch body and the printed circuit board that the z-limit switch is mounted to. There is some play in the cutout for vertical adjustment of the switch.

Print Settings

Supports: None

Notes:

Print with no supports; I designed them in to the model.
Enable printing thin walls in order to have the thin radial support lines for the screw countersink support to print.

There is also a clip in version that does not require screws.

I upped the wall count to 5 to have no infill in the main sides, but fewer can definitely be used as high strength is not necessary.

Post-Printing

I designed this to use M4x30mm screws to go in the opposite side of the z-axis mount screw holes.

There is also a clip in version included as well that does not require screws.

How I Designed This

Used Fusion 360 for the modeling.
