This is a remix of the Iambic Paddle designed by Adam Kimmerly (K6ARK). I really liked his design an thought it would pair well with the ultra portable Elecraft KX2 HF Transceiver.
I also wanted to help put out a design that lowers the cost to work CW in the field as the KXPD2 is rather expensive at over $100.
The remix adds on an arm to affix the paddle to the KX2 and changes the hole for the 3.5mm jack into a slot for a 2x2 male header. You can purchase a 2x2 male header from this set on amazon: https://a.co/d/9ELVMBt
You will also need a 4-40 thumbscrew that is at least 3/16" in length. You can use what you have on hand or buy one from McMaster Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/98816A216/
I recommend you also take a look at his model so that you know how to assemble it. I will include details relevant to my version below:
Elecraft KX2 Pinout:

Use this diagram for wiring up the 2x2 female header. Note that the header is rectangular in shape (dimensions are 5mm x 5.5mm). You will want it to have the longer side being vertical relative to the image above ("portrait mode" so to speak)
Solder on some thin wire like Nichrome to the header. you can also add a small amount of heat shrink if you like:

Next, push the header into the paddle section. It should only go in 1.5mm. Ensure it is in straight and add a small amount of superglue to secure it in place:

After this, I added a small amount of hot glue inside for extra security.
Assemble the rest of the paddle per Adam's instructions.
One thing to be careful of is when securing the ground wire to the M3 screw, ensure that there is some slack in the wire prior to tightening the screw otherwise you risk yanking the wire off the header! (don't ask me how i know this)
