For Tom

Tea Caddy Carousel for all your entertaining needs.

I wanted to try and make a caddy that could hold all types of tea. I concentrated on loose tea as it is the most sensitive and has the most needs. I made sure to start with a rounded bottom so you didn't have to worry about getting into those pesky corners. It also needed a lid that could seal adequately to retain freshness so I built in a small groove for an elastic band to serve as a gasket. I also designed a spoon and a slot to hold them. As loose bagged tea could double in this container, that left the central square to hold packages or tea balls.

After some time calculations, I realized I couldn't make something this size within the time constraints so I made it in miniature tea set size. If you enlarge it by 50% it should fit tea packages perfectly.

I used Duramic PLA Yellow and K5Magic PETG Purple as it was the only food safe plastic I have. I also had to master PETG to complete this project. I kept running too much fan.

I learned a lot about how multiple pieces work together and this project helped distract me from a deep personal loss this week so I feel like I have come out ahead regardless. I really enjoy these contests, they help me push my abilities.

*I do not recommend actually printing this. The design is fraught with errors and I would try a different approach if I had time to try again. I am still very new at the design aspect of 3D printing and made a host of rookie mistakes. I can do better next time. However I put too much work into it to not enter the design.

As I don't recommend printing, I didn't add the gcodes.
