MakerFabs Soil Moisture Sensor LoRaWAN housing

This is a 2 piece housing for the MakerFabs Soil Moisture Sensor LoRaWAN.  The housing print file they offer is square and has minimal airflow.  This has excellent airflow and good protection from rain and lateral water.  

I strongly suggest you buy some screen and add it to the inside to prevent bugs coming in.  

You'll also need an M2 x 8mm screw to secure the sensor to the housing.

I printed with white Prusament ASA on a Prusa MK3S+.  Printing in white should keep temps as accurate as you can get with this particular sensor.

On May 4th I pulled one of my sensors out of the garden and in removing the sensor from the cage saw that the slot was too thin, and stripped off the plastic covering as I removed it. Redesigned, re-uploaded, and the slot is now slightly wider.  

There is also a “cat ear” version of the cap, called the Meow Hat and designed by Sophi Kravitz.  :)
