Have random sockets you don't have a real place for? Yeah, me neither. So I decided to make this socket rail to organize those.

Recommend using different colors for SAE and Metric sockets. I printed my end caps to follow suite just for fun.

All you need is to get a ~$5 aluminum rail from your local hardware store the exact one I got was the ¾"W bar even though I was going for the ½"W bar as it was cheaper but maybe the extra dollar was worth the sturdiness. not sure as of now. The 36" bar could make 3 of the one I pictured, as its 12".

End caps hold 4 6x2mm magnets on each in hopes of at least mostly holding down the rail for 1 hand use. Still not enough power to keep it on a wall, but flat in a drawer while moving or using for sure. These are press fit, and very tight so have some pliers handy and have the bar inside the end cap as to not crush the cap itself pressing the magnets on.

the skinny flat across the bottom is to keep the ends from curling during printing. It's an in- design support. You can snip it or leave it, up to you.

Plan to make a parametric version of this to make different sized drives and different sized bars, but this is all I have as of now.

If you like or make this. PLEASE leave a like or a make, feedback is very important to me.
