My old modem died on me and I was in a pinch and picked up a Netgear CM600 at one of the bix box stores. Well the darn thing does not have a way to wall mount it. Due to space constraints, it had to go on the wall. After utilizing DDG (Duckduckgo.com) it turns out this modem is prone to overheating if wall mounted, hence there not being any holes for mounting.
