Silica Gel (desiccant) or Weight Spool Holder - Adjustable - REMIX

This model is a remix of a model by humebeam. I remixed it to add holes along it's length for potentially more airflow through the desiccant inside. Even if it doesn't help, it surely doesn't hurt anything. The holes don't interfere with the threading on or off of the top part or the lid.

As per requested, I have added a shorter version of this remix to fit certain spools. I have not had the time to test this short version. Although, from the looks of it in Prusaslicer, it will print fine. The short version is approximately 10mm shorter than the original remix.

Model Info

According to the original creator, this model was originally designed specifically for use in the Hydra AMS and Bambu Lab AMS. Although, as they pointed out, it can be used whenever the spool rolls on it's rim. So, if you use a traditional dry box with a spool roller that allows the spool to roll on it's rim, this would make a nice addition.

If, like me, you've had issues with nearly empty spools jumping up and binding in your Bambu AMS, this holder can also be used to add weight to help hold the spool down. I plan to fill a few of these with steel BBs for that purpose. I've also heard other people mention using old tire weights and ball bearings.

According to the original creator, this model should hold approx 40g of silica gel. They also state that this will fit most spools between 40mm and 80mm wide. I've used it in Prusament, Zyltech, Atomic and Coex spools so far without a problem. 

The largest diameter of these where they pass through the spool is approx 50mm. So your spools would have to have at least that big of a hole for these to fit inside. The diameter of the part that bumps up against the side of your spool is approx 69mm. See photos below for reference.
