Midwest / Scepter Gas Can Nozzle and Cap (with f3d for customization)

I designed a better one here:

https://www.printables.com/model/460322-gas-can-midwest-nozzle-spout-with-breathing-tube

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be very careful when modifying Gas Cans. Please ensure that they are air tight. You might need to make some adjustments to make the cap air tight for your own can, and that is why f3d is attached. I can't be liable for any damages.

The model is available for free download and use.

If you still want to invite me for a coffee for my effort, troubles and time, you can do it via:

I have tested this part and it has been working for me, for over 1 year.

As you probably know most of these gas cans spill very easily.

The silly valve attachment never works correctly.

Even when it works, it leaks through the neck spilling gas all over.

So, I designed and printed a very simple solution.

The design reuses the threaded part of the gas can cap.

This is a good idea, as you definitely want the threaded section to be extremely strong, and a 3D printed one might not cut it, in the long term. (Depending on material and print capabilities)

Print Notes:

Printed with PETG as that reacts the least with different chemicals including gas.

Highly recommend printing on smooth glass so that the mating surface of the part with the gas can is smooth and air tight.

I printed with a 1mm nozzle for a fast print.

Printed both parts within 3 hours.

Resulted in great functional strength and no leaks.

Thanks!
