Canon 18-135 STM lenshood remix

This is a remix of laurent_despeyroux's lenshood, itself a remix but a nice design, much better shading that the 'tulip' hood included with the lens. I broke the side away from the mounting ring in getting it off of the build plate, so I reinforced the sides and bottom edge a little, then added rotation stops so the hood aligns perfectly level. Mine was resized down slightly (height/width of the upper/forward edge) to fit the small printing footprint of the Printrbot Simple Metal.

Since I do a fair amount of lightning photography at night, being able to align by feel is useful, and the depth helps protect against the starting rain. I sprayed the interior matte black to help with its intentions for daylight use.

EDIT 06/23: Per request, fixed a couple of minor STL issues and made the sides thicker - that version is ‘Canon18-135LensHoodThikr2.stl’

Notes:

Like the original, probably best to print the bottom ring alone and test the fit, resizing as needed. A little sanding to the bottom surface can make a smooth fit
