Upon seeing the OralB charger holder with Schuko plug, I wanted to make one for my Sonicare toothbrush.

I took inspiration from the OralB charger holders and took some “design advice” from the schuko adapter linked as remixes.

V1 was the initial version, V1.1 just adjusts so that the schuko plug sits on the print bed in the correct orientation when loading the file.

  • The fit of the charger holder is quite tight, so use the charger fit check model, to ensure the charger has a little extra space to allow for pivoting the cable in, however be ready to make the cable suffer a little during insertion.
  • The tolerances of the Schuko plug are quite snug, but after multiple retries, I just stuffed the cable in and called it a day - it fit tight, but it fit. Since it's a short print you can just try it out on your printer, shouldn't take more than half an hour.
    • The Schuko backer plate fit test model is to check if the backing of the plug prints and fits with your printer. Print it and screw it on the schuko plug, to check if it fits well.
    • You can use the Schuko backer plate models to extend the Schuko plug if you have some obstructions near the plug - I had to add 3 of the plates to allow it to clear the cap assembly my bathroom socket has.
  • Additional hardware needed:
    • 2x M3 nuts (pull them into the holes by pulling them in with a screw from the other side)
    • 2x M3 screws (10mm if stock, longer if plug extended with plates)

Printed mine in white PLA @ 0.3mm layer height, infill at 20% and set to gyroid for a better surface finish. I did use supports, however set them only for areas with under 40 degree overhangs.
