Description

PDF

This is a small two-axis webcam holder to fasten inside of a printer enclosure. It requires no screws and the camera can be attached using the printed 1/4" camera screw.

No screws are needed for the assembly.

The parts have an intentionally loose fit, so you can assemble and disassemble the parts.

If you create your own gcode file, see the slicer screenshot with the part numbers for the correct print orientation of the parts.

Print instructions

Use Prusament PETG for the print.

Assembly

See the screenshot with the part numbers for assembly.

  • Insert the two 201 parts into the 101 parts.
  • Add glue to fasten the two 101 parts in the middle. Make sure to do this on a flat surface to keep a perfect right angle.
  • Slide part 202 over the two 201 parts.
  • Slide part 301 into part 202.
  • Insert screw 501 into part 401 and fasten the camera on top of the part.
  • Insert parts 302 into part 301 and make sure both parts are aligned in the same groove.
  • Slide part 401 over the two parts 302 to hold them into place.

If you are happy with the assembly, add drops of hot glue to hold them into place.

Disassemble

  • Use hot air to heat the glue to 90ºC.
  • Remove the parts.
