Note: This is one of my first designs in Fusion 360 and definitely my first posted online. All feedback is welcome and appreciated so I can learn. Thanks!
I loved the look of Suterén's Tetris Heart Puzzle but ran into structural problems with the print. Additionally, the pieces weren't “proper” Tetris pieces as they included non-Tetrominos. I decided to rebuild their puzzle from scratch as a weekend learning project in Fusion 360 while making some improvements.
This is a 10-piece, Tetris-inspired puzzle with a self-containing box. It includes a cutout to easily open the box and a cutout heart. It has a locking mechanism to avoid the puzzle coming open and spilling the pieces. I believe the puzzle has only one solution but would love to find out if anyone can find multiple solutions.
I've made several changes:
Make sure all pieces are flat on the bed. The top will need to be flipped over for printing. I used 25% infill but I imagine 15% should be fine. It also printed great at 0.2mm layer height. No supports should be needed. You may need a brim if you're experiencing warping of the box parts.
