The model utilizes old 'spectrum filament' spools with a total height of approximately 65mm, a radius of approximately 100mm, and an inner hole radius of approximately 26mm. Using the model for other spools may require remixing. I use 608 bearings, one per spool.
All parts are designed for supportless printing. Only the base and connecting parts need to be printed with higher infill for strength where they contact the bearing. I recommend using gyroidal infill. I printed the white parts with a 0.8mm nozzle and the green parts with a standard 0.4mm nozzle.
My cats were very happy with this present. They remain interested in the new feeder for a long time and have a lot of fun playing with it. It has no sharp or dangerous parts. Due to its size, there is no risk of stepping on it, so it is also safe for people. If needed, the model can be disassembled and cleaned.
The biggest advantage of this feeder is the entertainment it provides to cats and the extension of their feeding time, which has a beneficial effect on the amount of calories they consume while reducing the risk of vomiting.
