I created this print because I was tired of buying button batteries. Don't get me wrong they can last up to a year, but sometimes they are not of the best quality and they last for a couple of months, and you have to get new ones, and generate more trash.
Enter the AAA Battery Box for these Sonoff PIR sensors / motion sensors.
You'll need:
Sonoff SNZB-03 motion sensor
Battery holder
Soldering Iron (optionally you can just try to attach it to the battery terminals, not recomended though)
No supprts needed
Printed in 0.2mm layers
0.4 mm nozzle
Here is a tutorial video on how to put it toghether:
Step 1:
Print.
Step 2:
Remove the back cover of the Sonoff SNZB, exposing the button battery.
Step 3:
Remove old battery and using a small screwdriver or other flat tool, open de sensor prying from the small tabs on the sides.
Step 4:
Disassemble the main board and the back plastic cover you just removed.
Step 5:
Pass the cables through the Battery Holder Sonoff Sens Mov 4.0 TAPA.
WARNING: make sure that the 3D printed cover is faceing correctly towards the sensor.
Step 6:
Pass the cables through the back cover of the sensor, making sure the black cable goes through the flat / big hole and the red goes on the side / smaller hole.
WARNING: make sure that the back cover of the sensor is facing correctly towards the 3D printed cover
Step 7:
Solder the wires to the battery terminals on the main board of the sensor, if you dont want to solder, you can always try to tie them to the terminals, although i donte recomend it.
Step 8:
Put the batteries in the batterie holder and make sure that the sensor is working.
Step 9:
Insert the battery holder into the Battery Holder Sonoff Sens Mov 4.0 CAJA box.
Step 10:
Put the sensor back together with its back cover.
Step 11:
Use the guides to align the cables so you don't accidentaly break or cut them and start closing the lid with a sliding motion while pulling the cables through the holes.
