I very much like the design of the filament guide by tommytwothousand on another model website. I took his overall design and ideas from other filament guides specifically for the Ender 3 models and made a model for the Ender 3 Max Neo.

My design mounts directly under the extruder on the Ender 3 Max Neo. The mounting uses existing holes on the extruder support, but does not require using holes that mount the filament run out sensor.

I designed the filament holder to accepts a bowden tube, specifically a Capricorn bowden tube. As you can see a small section of bowden tube in inserted into the guide to provide drag free filament guidance.

This model is 2 seperate pieces which print in place.  After printing insert a tool into the through hole on the face of the model.  The model will rotate quite a bit without coming out.

To install the guide you need to cut the cable tie used to hold the hot end wires under the extruder. The second hole used is vacant by default. I used 2 M3x12 (You might get away with M3X10) screws and 2 M3 nuts to mount the guide.

My printer does 60 degree overhangs with no problems and will print the small bridges in the model with no issues.

I printed the model with the front face (see image) on the printer surface with the flat "base" in the air.

If your printer has issues with bridges choose the no bridges version.
