You've probably already seen something like this on TV. You can easily chain multiple hangers together to save space on the pole in your closet. I wasn't about to buy these so I whipped up my own design and printed them out. They work like a charm! They work equally well for conventional wire hangers or the round plastic molded variety.

I printed these in PLA+ but Nylon might be a better fit for this project if you have it on hand. So far these work just fine and I have chained 6 shirts together without an issue.

The .STL file is set up to print these four at a time. I see no reason why you would want to print only one or two of these so that was the reasoning for setting it up as a multiple. Use the orientation that is in the .STL file for maximum strength. So far I haven't been able to break one of these by loading up the hangers. Your mileage may vary <grin>.

I used the following for the PLA+ parts:

  • .4mm Nozzle
  • .2mm layer height
  • 4 layer top and bottom
  • 4 perimeters
  • 100% infill
