DIY (Poor mans) PCB etch-tank

Create your own etch tank for less than € 10.00

This etch tank is made from a plastic rectangular storage box and some aquarium attributes i.c.w. some 3D printed parts. It can etch PCB's up to 10x16cm.

Hardware:

Printed parts:

  • Crate – print twice   (glue the two halves together);
  • Hanger – print twice.

 Drill or cut the holes in the lid for the hangers, air hose and thermometer.                                Use the 2 nails to secure the hangers to the lid.                                                                              Slide the O-ring over the thermometer (approx. 4cm from top) and put is true the lid.                  Place the air stone diagonal on the bottom (fix it with double sided tape).                                Put the air hose true the tank or lid (use the flow valve if desired).

I connect the air hose to my compressor any other can use an aquarium air pump.

That’s all.
