I was looking for a simple lighting solution for my X1C printers, to have it brighter on the inside. The standard lighting of the printer is a weak spot. I don't wanted to print a stand for the AMS or whole frames, just to have more light inside of the printer. So I looked for a simple and quick solution. This is my approach.
So I found a led light bar for top mounting. It fits perfectly in size, has a easy to reach switch on the side and is decently bright. But because it has round edges, the lamp slides around easily and also dazzles a bit when you stand in front of the printer. Therefore, I have designed a cover for the lamp.
The lamp can be purchased in two variants (30cm):
Single: https://amzn.to/3Jh4LlM
Bulk: https://amzn.to/41NR98K
They are also available in other countries, just search on amazon.
Just put two gel-pads (the cover is designed to have 1-3mm thick pad attached) on the front of the light bar, just to prevent it from slipping on the glass. Then put the light cover over it from the back. Place the lamp on top of the printer and push the lamp inside the cover down, until the pads have good contact with the class. Route the cable aside the AMS and you're done. :)
Very easy, no supports needed. And yes, it fits perfectly on the printer, if you print it diagonally. Even with LIDAR enabled.
Because the printer and the light may heat up over time, I would suggest a more heat resistant material, like ABS or ASA. But in general, all materials work for this print.

For safety's sake, I mention that the assembly and use is of course at your own risk. Have fun with it!
