First of all I need to give Credits to Andys1957.
Andys1957 provided the cable-management chain. PLs refer to his modifications: https://www.printables.com/de/model/326947-sculpfun-s30pro-modifications
This modifications inspired me - resulting in a flood of ideas.
AND PLS NOTE .. count the exact # of chain elements he used for the Cable-Chain with clips !!!
But I wanted to have some more stuff as well taking into account that everything needs to be compatible with the use of the rotary roller – this is work in progress to come soon.
So I took care to enhance the cable-Management Support and provide some SYSTEMATIC stuff, which means building blocks and reusability.
So I created mounts / mount-plates for the SculpFun legs, where I believe the do fit for all the SculpFun-S-models ( and I can reuse them or other designs or purposes).
These mounts / mount-pLates now do carry a designed and printed 2020 extrusion profile, where the cable chain does rest on.
This gives the arrangement a technical touch - I loved it that way.
I provide a print file, where THREE 2020 Profiles a fixed together to enable accident free upright 3D printing. ALL three together exactly do fit to cover the distance between the mount-plate-2020 anchors on the legs = 497 mm.
I added a mount-aid, end-caps, connectors and a small height-adjustable center support (See pics).
NOTE:
The connectors are designed with 0.3 mm gap and slide perfectly when printed vertically.
I also provided connectors with a 0.4 mm gap when printed lying on the print bed.
The lying ones then need a little rasping at the bottom part going into the 2020extrusion profile.
I designed those mount-plates with the 2020 extrusion end-piece for both:
I remixed a nut fixation ( https://www.printables.com/de/model/230819-2020-t-slot-extrusion-quick-fastener ) from SteveJohnson to be reused and used it for the Laser Height adjustment cylinder – but Steves Quick fastener is the basis now for more things.
I also designed a clip, which perfectly clips into the top of the laser mount plate.
I wanted to use it for the mount a cable guide ( inspired by Andys1957’s one ) and a guide for the air-tube on it.
The clip with a slider mount is added here.
I finally did NOT use my design as the Laser-Box might experience a height change delta of approx. 50mm, so I needed to have the guide fixed to the laser box rather than to its mount plate … you find it in the pictures and model-files.
So my Cable- and tube-guide .. I printed it in the position it is applied to the laser box.
This needs support. Only the small slot for the metal sheet .. the removing is a little tricky.
But when done it fits wonderfully. I provided printable screws with a knurled head for fixing but at the moment it works without.
Alternatively a small M3 can be added into the top opening disabling slipping off.
THE CALBE- and TUBE GUIDE probably only suits for the 20Watt Laser Box from SculpFun – maybe others can use my Clip with their resp. to be designed extension.
If you need any more information or help e.g. how I printed etc .. pls drop me a message.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
