Our new paraols came with a holder to mount them at the handrail but these would not prevent them from twisting around the rail. Also, the lower posts (38 mm diameter) were about 90 mm too short to stand on the ground.

This stand lifts the post 95 mm up and holds the parasol firmly in place. With this stand the fix at the handrail also does not need to be tightened too hard. The anchors hook up under the railing. Anchors and stand have an indentation to prevent vertical slip without tightening the screws too hard. The stand has elongated holes so that the length of the anchors does not need to be exactly precise.

The thickness (breite_spalt in dim spreadsheet) and length (unter_gelaender) of the anchors can be easily edited in FreeCAD. Modifications of the stand may need some re-modeling of chamfers and fillets…

You need to print one stand (Halter) and two of the anchors (Anker).  For assembly you need two 25 mm M8 bolts and two washers.

I also added a cap for rain protection when the parasols aren't in use.

Printed in PETG, 0.25 mm layer height with some infill modifiers (more infill) where needed. Print the stand standing and the anchors laying on their side for best stability. (.3mf files attached were created with PrusaSlicer 2.6.0 alpha 3)
