Upgrade for the Fusion3 F400-S 3D printer to replace the stock part cooling fan mount and duct to improve performance and overall packaging of the hot end.
This duct is only compatible with the F400-S model that uses the E3D V6 hot end.
The following hardware is required (all required hardware is provided with the stock part cooling mount assembly):
- 1X M4x25mm Socket Head Cap Screw
- 1X M4 Nut
- 2X M3x8mm Countersunk Screw
- 1X ~2mm Wide, ~1mm Thick Zip Tie
To install:
- Remove stock part cooling fan duct from the 5015 blower fan. The stock duct is superglued in place and must be carefully cut off of the blower fan
- Remove stock part cooling fan mounting bracket from the hot end carriage bracket. This is done by removing the two M3x8mm countersunk screws (will be reused later) and carefully cutting any prying through the superglue attaching the part cooling fan bracket to the hot end bracket.
- Insert the M4 nut into the slot until it is fully seated and the threads are concentric with the screw clearance hole in the bracket.
- Attach the part cooling fan mount to the hot end carriage using the 2X M3x8mm countersunk screws.
- Press the fan duct onto the end of the 5015 blower fan.
- Slot the blower fan into the mounting bracket and fix in place using the M4x25mm socket head cap screw.
- Zip tie the wire in place using the integrated zip tie cut out on the part cooling fan mount.
