Yesterday morning I woke up and thought it would be cool to play around with planetary gears.
Since this is the beauty of this hobby, this is what I did.
This mechanism turns the two outer shells slowly relative to each other due to the different number of teeth on the inside.

This mechanism is quite clunky and doesn't work too smooth, however it still is enough to demonstrate how planetary gears can be used for cyclodial action.
The file “Planetary Gear.stl” needs to be printed three times, everything else needs to be printed only once.
