I disliked the original positioning of the hotend fan - too close to the heatsink and with some wires in its airstream - so I made this. The idea is to make it more silent and more efficient by removing the obstructions from the airstream. It is somewhat more silent, above all it doesn't have the high frequency hiss, if it is more efficient is anyone's guess. I suppose yes, but I won't claim that because I can't measure it. At any rate I like the way it looks :)

Print in PETG or better, in orientation provided in the .stl files; only the duct bit will need a bit of support for the overhanging bit of flange. I designed the whole thing to not need any kind of threaded inserts and such, all the screws go either into the pre-existing threaded holes, or into slightly undersized holes in the plastic, which is strong enough. The only issue is that the screws need more force to screw in, especially the first time.

Install the pinda probe through the duct and the pinda holder before mounting them. Don't pinch any cables. Adjusting the pinda probe is more difficult this way due to limited access, but it's doable. The whole thing does require some technical skills to install, but it's not terribly difficult.
