After a few years of using the AeroGarden Farm 12XL, I realized that I go through a decent amount of plant food. The official AeroGarden 3oz bottles are perfect for my feeding syringes, but they are not the best value for food. You can refill the 3oz bottles with AeroGarden nutrients, and that's great.
But what about Cal-Mag, which my tomatoes love? The Big Bottle of Cal-Mag is affordable, but I've dropped the syringes in a few times, and it's not fun trying to get them back out. I had an extra 3oz bottle kicking around, but how do you tell the difference between the bottles if the markings are the same?
So I created this bottle topper. If you print it right (I printed mine at 100.5%, that's a 0.5% bump up, to account for PLA shrinkage) it will fit perfectly on the 3oz bottle's original screw top snugly. Mine actually “snapped” on and it's NOT coming off. If you'd prefer, you can print it slightly larger, and use a high-quality double-sided tape on the inside, to connect this topper, to the original bottle screw top. Up to you. I personally like the snug, flush fit.
I am most proud of the knurling of the knob, which looks cool, and is super easy to do.
If you'd like a custom bottle topper version (alternate text, a different dingbat in the middle, raised versus embossed), please leave me a comment with all the details, and I'll see what I can do. I know that I use Cal-Mag, and it's possible other people use different nutrients and want to do the same thing I'm doing with these cute little bottles that come with AeroGarden products. Just let me know!
