Hi,
some time ago we took water rockets quite seriously and designed several stuff for it.
The rocket had a small sender, sending information about the flight to the “station” (ground control) at my son. It also controlled the deployment of the parachute depending on either: leaving top height, orientation, …or time.
I am sure, noone will build this according to the files here again in the exact same way (no water rockertry does) and also noone will use the same arduino code, but I think the parts itself (parachute deployment top, wings and parts of the launch pad) will be very helpfull for some of you. …That is why I post them here.
For the starter: you should use as “bike” valve to prevent water from running down the line… This comes on the rocket side. The other side takes a FESTO air connector.
I am sorry for not sharing arduino code - I used some libraries and code snippets where I am unsure of the distribution license. To avoid conflict, I will not share…
However, I am very happy to help! If you have issues with the parts, I can adapt them for you or support with additional advice.
