As others, I had some issues printing at steep angles with the SV06. I found the nicely designed fanduct by @Scattered Collectables which is most likely delivering more than enough cooling. However, I wanted to recycle my 40-20 blowers and I wanted the design to look a little more aesthetic. Thats why I remixed his design to fit a 40-20 blower. For the design I also used the CAD files of the SV06 made publically available by Sovol3D.

If you decide to use this model, take note, that you will lose approx. 5mm on the X-Axis, as X- will home with the blower casing instead of the sled. Until now, I did not have any problems with it.

For the setup you will need:

standart 40-20 Blower 24V and JST 1,25 connector

4x M3x20mm Screw (NO Flathead)

3x M3x20mm Flatheadscrews

3x M3 heat inserts with a low profile (I used ruthex M3 short, availabl from the big A).

Printer settings:

You can print all parts without supports

0.4 Nozzle

4 perimeters

5 top and bottom layers

Heat resistant material (eg. Extrudr Greentec Pro)

Assambly:

Heatsink the inserts into the pockets within the groove of the blower. Take care not to push to far.

After that, place the fan into the groove and wire the cables through the mounting plate hole. Place the mounting plate sothat the holes are lining up and use the M3 Flatheadscrews to marry mounting plate and Fanduct.

Mount the plate to the back of the X-sled with the 4 M3x20 screws.

Edit:

I had to change the holes for the heat inserts to a smaller diameter, as I chose to tolerance a bit to high which made the inserts not sitting tide enough. Hole diameter is now 4,3mm.

Hope you enjoy.
