A half height beer crate to store 14x2 (28 total) CR2032 (or thinner) coin cells.
Fully compatible with the original battery beer crate design.
The gluable bottom part from the original also fits. Stacking two of these half height crates with the original rim will result in the same height as the original crate.
Printable without support just like the original.
I also increased the travel speed for bridges on my mk3s, but this isn't strictly necessary.
Update 2023-03-01:
Empty versions without the dividers are now also included.
V2 versions have the bottom grating properly aligned to the 14x2 dividers and are otherwise unchanged.
Update 2023-03-08:
Added a version for CR2450 cells with 2x8 dividers. I haven't tested this model myself as I don't have any CR2450 cells.
CR2450 cells are 24.5 mm (±0.3 mm) in diameter, making them just barely fit inside a half-height crate, and only with a very thin (0.75 mm) bottom grating. I would suggest using a layer height < 0.2 mm to maximize the amount of layers and rigidity of the grating.
See my answer to DjBricheta's comment for a bit more info.
Update 2023-04-04: Sadly the CR2450 versions are not directly stackable with the bottom part from the original crate :( Thanks to Fritz for testing it! I will try out some ideas to see if I can squeeze another 0.x mm out of it…
Created with onshape, my document can be found here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/a2dea312c6f36b14cd530930/w/24c4bf8bc2b46976920170fc/e/6604780ea56b820c760271d3
Actually based on the Beer Crate AA V2 design from Marzochi / rodrigorosseto over on Thingiverse.
It looks to be the same exact design as the one by CAD-Guy though.
The author remixed this model.
