Minimalist Oral-B Braun Electric Toothbrush Wall Mount

I wanted to get rid of the tangling cable jungle of our Oral-B electric toothbrush so I designed this wall outlet mount.

Every model I found for hiding the cable of the Braun / Oral-B toothbrush wall charger was not enough good/polished/perfect/minimal for me so I designed this and I hope you will enjoy this too.

The design is based on the german 55mm system of the wall outlets so it will fit perfectly most of the wall outlets. I have Gira System 55 E2 outlets and as you can see on the photos this mount blends in well.

One of the interesting features is the plug part: it converts the IEC Type C plug of the charger to a Type E/F form factor that sits well in the wall outlet and stabilizes the mount.

Another feature is that you don't have to disassemble anything to fit this with your charger. Simply lead the plug through the top and feed it inside the plug part. There is a bottom slot where you can lead out the cable.  The rest of the cable can be tucked away in the belly of this beast :)

Update 2023.02.23.

I finished the model with the spare brush holder slots. I also made slightly shorter versions for those who don't have System 55 standard socket. The design is similar, but shorter, there is plenty space in the inside to store the cables even in the shorter version. Also as this version shouldn't fit the 55x55 pattern on the back side it has fillets on the back making it a little bit more beautiful :)

So the 4 versions are:

  • Braun Toothbrush Base - System 55: square back, without extra holders
  • Braun Toothbrush Base with Brush Holder - System 55: square back, with extra holders
  • Braun Toothbrush Base - Short: shorter height, rounded corners, without extra holders
  • Braun Toothbrush Base with Brush Holder - Short:  shorter height, rounded corners, with extra holders

Easter egg: the versions with the extra holders even have an extra-extra holder on the bottom :)

Update 2023.02.22.

Work-in-progress version: with holder for 3 extra brushes. I plan to update this model in a few days when I had the opportunity to test the new version.

Printing and assembly

The parts should be printed from PETG or ABS. I included a picture of the part orientation and selective support to help your printing. Using organic support structure with the new PrusaSlicer 2.6 lets you save lots of filament and easy support extraction. Use 3 perimeters and 15-20% infill. Be careful as the plug part has very thin parts but once you attach it to the base with screws it will never break.

An additional 4pcs M3x16 socket head cap screw (SHCS) is needed to mount the plug part to the base body.

Source files

I include the source files for education and personal purposes but please don't do evil things with it and don't steal this design. If you want to use it for commercial purposes, please contact me and we will find a solution.
