After having some mold issues in my flat, I created this little project.
It consists of different compartments
The swimmer should indicate the water level but needs a buoyancy aid. Special care must be taken to waterproof the water bucket, e.g., use PETG with 100% infill, maybe paint the inside with some resin (mine was waterproof without resing paint). All other compartments can be printed in PLA or PETG on printers with a min print area of 150x150x120mm.
Additionally, you need to get a 120mm fan and a suitable power supply. I used:
This is a bit overkill… Any cheap 120mm fan and any power supply you can find should work. There are holes to fix the fan into place, but they are not needed as gravity does the trick anyway.
Also you will need a chemical. I use the 450g, calcium chloride blocks e.g., 12x for 20€ from amazon.
Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or need a redesign in certain parts. Please feel free to change the design to your own needs.

UPDATE 1: I compared the effectiveness to regular passive bucket. After 5 days (at ~60% humidity, 18°C) the printed active version yielded 521g (salt)-water and the passive bucket 73g. So around 7x more.
UPDATE 2: There have been reports, that the bottom container is a quite thight fit. With my print it just fits perfectly and can be taken out easily. If you want to be ojn the safe side, maybe reduce the size of the container by ~1%.
