This holder places a 40x40x10mm or 40x40x20 (4010 / 4020) Noctua fan right at the rear inlet grill and directs flow to the MC board heatsink. Easy slip in design requires no adhesives or even the removal of the stock fan. Plain model prints with no supports, haven't printed the ported style.
Power off printer and remove cord
Remove rear panel
Cut off original MC Board fan lead with enough to solder plug and wires onto Noctua fan. Plug plus 2" of wire will do.
Stow remaining wires of stock fan away from MC board
Remove Noctua plug (clip wires right at plug)
Solder the original fan plug and wires to the Noctua fan. I butt soldered, heat shrink wires individually, folded over, heat shrink around all wires.
Insert the fan into the housing as shown in the pictures for correct airflow direction
Dab of your favorite glue to hold the Noctua wire heat shrink to the strain relief.
Insert at an angle (tilted to left) and seat the non-sloped side on the heat sink and gently slip the printed edge of the fan holder under the lip of the printer frame. It will stay in place with very light tension but glue if your heart desires.

*let me know if the 40x40x20 fan model needs adjustment since I did not try this size.
