A very simple and cheap sliding bolt
This is printed in 2 parts, a base and a handle. The actual mechanism relies on M5 bolts and M5 nuts . You can change the travel distance with more/less nuts and longer bolts.
Parts can be scaled to work with different size bolts(M8 would probably be a good size for a large variant).
I have uploaded the openscad file for this so that it can be customized.
I printed this in PLA, high infill and gave a very quick coat of clear coat as it is placed in a shed. Used for a few month now without issue.
